Desprate Housewives The Complete Season 1-5
Desperate Housewives is an American television comedy-drama series, created by Marc Cherry, who also serves as show runner, and produced by ABC Studios and Cherry Productions. Executive producers, as of the fourth season, are Marc Cherry, Bob Daily, George W. Perkins, John Pardee and Joey Murphy, David Grossman, Larry Shaw and Sabrina Wind.
The setting of the show is the street of Wisteria Lane in the fictional American town of Fairview in the Eagle State. It follows the lives of a group of women, seen through the eyes of their dead neighbor, as they work through domestic struggles and family life, while facing the secrets, crimes and mysteries hidden behind the doors of their—at the surface—beautiful and seemingly perfect suburban neighborhood.
The show features an ensemble cast, headed by Teri Hatcher as Susan Mayer, Felicity Huffman as Lynette Scavo, Marcia Cross as Bree Van de Kamp and Eva Longoria Parker as Gabrielle Solis. Brenda Strong narrates the show as the deceased Mary Alice Young, appearing sporadically in flashbacks or dreams.
Since its premiere on ABC on October 3, 2004, the show has been well received by the critics as well as the audience. The show is a multiple Emmy, Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild award winner, and in April 2007 it was reported to be the most popular show in its demographic worldwide, with an audience of approximately 120 million viewers.
The fifth season of Desperate Housewives, aired on ABC from September 28, 2008 until May 17, 2009.
After the dramatic episode eighteen, the ladies took a long break over the easter period and returned state-side on April 19. Irish viewers then don't have to wait that long for the much anticipated installment as it can be seen on RTé Two; just two days later at 9.55pm. At this stage UK viewers will be up to date with all the drama from Wisteria Lane.

The storyline that ties the ladies together revolves around Edie's (Nicolette Sheridan) husband, Dave Williams (Neal McDonough). Although he's got most of the neighborhood fooled, Karen (Kathryn Joosten) and her sister (Lily Tomlin) know something's going on.

My boyfriend and I watch this together, I didn't think he would like it. It turns out that he would watch it before I got there, and then I would have to catch up before we watched a show together.

I've only watched the first four episodes, but what fun! I normally watch true crime shows, and this is such a breath of fresh, adult air!
Love it! Absolutely love it! Me time. Doesn't get any better than that! I finally see what everyone was raving about.

Although Desperate Housewives piloted many years ago, I never had the occasion to watch an episode until I was stuck in front of a television at the beauty salon. I was so captivated that I decided to buy the first season and start watching it through up to the most current season.

This show just keeps getting better! Oh my God! From the craziness with Bree's "baby," Susan being...well...Susan, Lynette trying to balance life and fighting cancer, Gabrielle's always sex obsessed stories, Edie's ends up yet again with a worthless relationship, the hot gay couple, and of course, the new neighbor on Wisteria Lane, Katherine Mayfair and her dark secrets. Everytime I buy a new season of DH I just can't believe that it could top the last...and it does! Great show...tons of fun...
