The L Word was an American and Canadian co-production television drama series on Showtime portraying the lives of a group of lesbian, bisexual and transgender men and women and their friends, family and lovers in the trendy Los Angeles-area city of West Hollywood, California. The show ran from 2004 to 2009.
The L Word is the intimate story about the lives and loves of a group of lesbian friends living in Los Angeles. The show has received a lot of praise for it's brilliant storylines and the portrayal of the lesbian community.
The L Word is created and executive produced by Ilene Chaiken (Barb Wire, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air), who also serves as a writer on the show. Other executive producers include Steve Golin (Being John Malkovich, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind) and Larry Kennar (Barbershop).
"The L Word" is the best show on earth. It's true. And if you haven't seen it, go out and rent all four seasons immediately.

Brian Kinney of Queer as Folk was a much better written character than Shane, and even he grew up in the end. I personally did not see any growth in any of the characters apart from Helena.

The first time I watched The L Word I was hooked. I have invested in almost every season and this is the best price I have found. I wish I would have checked here before buying all the other ones.

I have ordered all 5 seasons of the L-word, I found them to be the cheapest with the best shipping rates around, I have loved all 5 seasons, me and my girlfriend enjoy an L-word marathon every so often, when we feel like snuggling up and staying in!!! ENJOY!!!!
