North Jersey mob boss, Tony Soprano, self-described "waste management consultant," reluctantly seeks a psychiatrist's help after blacking out. Lest he appear weak, he must keep his therapy a secret from the rest of the Mob. He's stressed: his teenage daughter is giving his wife fits; his mean-spirited mother refuses to move to a retirement community; his aging Uncle Junior, jealous of Tony's rise to the top, won't stay in line and engineers a plot to kill Tony; and the feds, armed with RICO, are circling. In therapy, Tony must come to terms with his father's example, his mother's manipulations, and his own fears of death and loss of family.

The Sopranos was a very good show,for a very long time..Unless the producers are intending to bring the show back at some future date,taking up where the final episode left off that final episode was and is a slap in the face to every fan...A lot of what went on before was sorted out,but what about Tony?

One of the delights of the series is that I can't quite figure what will happen next. I'm constantly on edge as I watch the story unfold, and there are always surprises. I like the humor and the irreverence. And best of all I like the fact that each episode is commercial free and a complete movie in itself. I love it when the scenes move back and forth between the actual crime stuff and his family life.

The Sopranos series is one of my favorites. That being said, I would not advise anyone to buy this collection. There are so many discs that having even one of them not work makes it not worth it.

I had already watched the final season on HBO, but I have already purchased all the previous seasons on DVD. The DVDs are fine and it came within only a few days after ordering it.

I watched Season Six of the Sopranos on DVD and the quality looked perfect on my computer screen. I used Microsoft Vista's Home Media Center and it looked great. The mixed the sound just right for a 5.1 speaker system.
